First-mile, last-mile travel (FMLM), the beginning and final stretches of any transit journey, is overwhelmingly made by “active transportation modes (walking/biking/wheelchair/etc.)” When thinking about walking first and last miles, we need to prioritize better walks rather than shorter walks.
